Fire Prevention Week
Home fires are the biggest public safety threat facing U.S. and Canadian families today, with one home fire reported every 86 seconds in 2015.
October 14, 2017, the last day of NFPA's Fire Prevention Week, is National Home Fire Drill Day - raising awareness and encouraging families to be more prepared when it comes to fire safety by practicing a home fire drill as a family.
Visit our Home Fire Drill Day toolkit page for helpful tools and resources, including co-branded infographics for posting on social media and a fun template for drawing a home fire escape plan.
For more resources, download Nationwide's Make Safe Happen app and visit the HomeFireDrillDay.com website, which aims to make this potentially life-saving activity fun, effective and easy.
